Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
Ingredients
Instructions
- Mix dry ingredients together, then stir in the vanilla extract. (I will pulse it in the food processor till powdered.)
- Store in an air tight container.
- Use 1/2 cup of mix in place of a large box (5 oz) of instant pudding in recipes with 3 cups of milk, or 1/4 cup of mix in place of a small box (3-4 oz) with 2 cups milk. Stir and let it sit for 5 min to thicken.
How do you prepare the mix?
Would a dry non dairy milk work? Like soy.
Use 1/2 cup of mix in place of a large box (5 oz) of instant pudding in recipes with 3 cups of milk, or 1/4 cup of mix in place of a small box (3-4 oz) with 2 cups milk. Stir and let it sit for 5 min to thicken.
From what I remember is that you use about 1/2 as much soy. Been along time since I’ve used soy.
The base mix is made with vanilla extract, To make other flavors such as lemon pudding can you just add lemon extract to the base mix and if so how much would I need to use for a small box and large box?
I don’t know the exact measurements but prepare the vanilla and add a few drops of lemon extract to get the level of lemon that you want.
