Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice

Share that scratch baking love!

Listen up, folks! I am about to reveal a life-changing secret that will spice up your pumpkin pie game like never before. Drumroll, please. It’s time to make your very own pumpkin pie spice!

Now, you might be wondering, “Why on earth would I go through the trouble of making my own pumpkin pie spice when I can simply buy it at the store?” Well, my friend, buckle up and allow me to enlighten you with some hilarious truths.

First and foremost, let’s be honest. Most of us have no clue how old that pumpkin pie spice container in our spice rack truly is. Trust me when I say I cleaned out a relative’s spice cabinet that had 20 year old containers that she swore, “I just bought that” and so on. Never had she ever really just bought anything. It was a gamble on everything there.

By creating your own pumpkin pie spice blend, you’ll save those precious pennies and have more cash to invest in pumpkin-shaped cookie cutters or adorable pumpkin-themed kitchen towels. Priorities, people!

Last but not least, there’s the bragging rights. Picture this: You’re sitting at a family gathering, and someone takes a bite of your pumpkin pie. Suddenly, their eyes widen, and they exclaim, “Wow, this is the best damn pumpkin pie I’ve ever tasted! What’s your secret?” That’s when you casually lean back, smile, and drop the bombshell – “Oh, you know, I make my own pumpkin pie spice.” Mic drop.

So, my fellow pumpkin enthusiasts, let the store-bought pumpkin pie spice be a thing of the past. Take control of your spices and become pumpkin spice legendary. Happy spicing, my friends!
