Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam

- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla syrup or increase to 2 tbsp of store-bought or homemade
Add everything to a jar or cup.
Froth with a handheld frother or shake in a jar with a lid.
Stop when it’s thick, creamy, and still pourable—not stiff like whipped cream.
Ratio is 2 parts heavy cream to 1 part 2% milk. Froth 15-20 seconds or shake in mason jar 30-45 seconds. Stop when thick but still pourable — not stiff. Too thick: add splash of milk and stir. Too thin: froth longer. Pour over back of spoon to land on top of drink. Make fresh — separates within minutes. Vanilla syrup can be made ahead, refrigerates 2 weeks.
For Dirty Dr Pepper or any dirty soda: pour Dr Pepper/soda over ice, add 1/2 tsp vanilla syrup to soda, stir once gently, top with cold foam.
