In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth.
Add the eggs, lemon juice, and lemon zest, and mix until fully combined.
Stir in the flour and salt just until incorporated—don’t overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Let cool completely before adding glaze (if using).
