How To Use Butter Powder
Learn how to bring butter powder back to life for baking, cooking, or camping. Perfect for shelf-stable recipes, dry mixes, and off-grid cooking.
- 1 part butter powder
- ½ to 1 part warm water adjust for desired consistency
- Optional: 1 teaspoon oil or milk for extra richness per ¼ cup butter powder
In a small bowl, combine the butter powder and warm water.
Whisk or stir until smooth.
Let the mixture sit for 2–3 minutes to fully absorb and thicken.
For a creamier texture (for toast or popcorn), stir in a small amount of oil or milk.
Use immediately in place of melted butter, or refrigerate for up to 3 days.
For 1 tablespoon of butter, use 1 tablespoon butter powder + ½ tablespoon warm water.
For 1 stick of butter (½ cup), mix ½ cup butter powder + ¼ cup warm water.
Ideal for: baking mixes, rice or pasta dishes, camping meals, and pantry kits.
Store unused dry powder in a cool, dark place in an airtight container for up to 10 years (unopened).
Reconstituted butter should be kept refrigerated and used within 3 days.
