This homemade scones pantry mix makes bakery-style scones fast, using simple pantry staples you can keep on hand. One jar yields three batches, so fresh, homemade scones are always just minutes away.

  • This goes into a half-gallon mason jar with comfortable headspace (which is good for shaking and storage).

Jar Assembly

  • Whisk all dry ingredients very thoroughly. Funnel into jar, seal airtight, label.

To Make Scones (Per Batch)

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Use 2½ cups dry mix
  • ½ cup cold butter, grated or cubed
  • ½ cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Optional mix-ins (½–1 cup): fruit, chocolate, nuts, citrus zest.
  • Pat dough into a 1-inch thick round
  • Cut into 8 wedges
  • Bake at 400°F for 15–18 minutes
