Homemade Cake Mix
Whip up a delicious homemade cake mix with this easy-to-follow pantry recipe that lets you create a delightful dessert using simple ingredients you likely already have on hand.
Ingredients
- 4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 4 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 3 cups white sugar
Instructions
- 1 cup milk
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cups melted butter
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3 1/2 cups dry mix
- For chocolate cake, add 1/2 cup cocoa powder (and a tablespoon or two of milk if needed)
- Bake for 25-35 minutes at 350F until a toothpick comes out clean!

Makes (2) 9" round cakes or a 9" x 13" cake.
