Crockpot Apple Butter is a slow, hands-off recipe that transforms simple apples into something rich, smooth, and deeply flavorful. It fills your home with that warm, cozy smell while quietly turning everyday ingredients into something worth savoring.
9cupsapplespeeled, cored, and sliced (I like a mix of Sweet + soft: Fuji apples, Gala apples, Golden Delicious apples and Tart + flavorful: Granny Smith apples, Jonathan apples)
Sprinkle sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt over the top.
Stir to coat the apples evenly.
Cover and cook on LOW for 8–10 hours
(or HIGH for 4–5 hours), stirring occasionally if you can.
Once apples are very soft, mash or blend until smooth.
Leave the lid slightly ajar and cook another 1–2 hours on LOW to thicken.
Notes
The longer it cooks, the deeper the flavor gets
If it’s too thick, add a splash of water or apple juice
If it’s too thin, keep cooking uncovered
