Flavor Profile: Sweet, smoky, tangy, and savory with a hint of honey mustard barbecue flavor.
For a larger family sized batch, mix:
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sour cream
¼ cup milk
¼ cup dry mix
1 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp barbecue sauce
Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving. Great for dipping nuggets, fries, and chicken sandwiches. This version captures more of that signature sweet-smoky-tangy flavor people expect from Chick-fil-A sauce while still working as a shelf-stable pantry mix.
Low Sugar: Reduce powdered sugar to 2 Tbsp still works for both sprinkle and sauce
No Sugar: Omit entirely will be more tang-forward, less fast-food sweet
Low Sodium: Reduce salt to ¾–1 tsp
Lighter Sauce: Swap mayo for Greek yogurt or sour cream
