Ingredients

  • 1 cup wing or hot sauce such as Sweet Baby Ray’s or Frank’s RedHot
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 4 cups shredded chicken or 2 cans of canned chicken
  • 3 1/2 cup shredded cheese of choice - cheddar monterey jack, pepperjack, etc.
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • crumbled bacon
  • green onion for garnish

Instructions

  • Add the base ingredients
  • Place the softened cream cheese, sour cream, ranch dressing, and wing or hot sauce into the crockpot. Stir gently to combine as best you can.
  • Add the chicken
  • Stir in the shredded chicken (or drained canned chicken), breaking it up so it’s evenly distributed.
  • Cook
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 2–3 hours or HIGH for 1–1½ hours, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is hot and creamy.
  • Add the cheese
  • Stir in the shredded cheese, reserving a small handful if you want some on top. Continue cooking uncovered for 10–15 minutes, stirring once or twice, until the cheese is fully melted and smooth.
  • Season and finish
  • Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed. Stir in crumbled bacon or sprinkle it over the top.
  • Garnish and serve
  • Top with green onions just before serving. Keep the crockpot on WARM for serving.
  • Serve hot with chips, crackers, bread, or veggies.
