Banana Pudding With Nilla Wafers

The kind grandma brought to every cookout — creamy vanilla pudding, layers of bananas, soft cookies, and that overnight magic where everything melts together just right.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk until smooth.
  • Stir in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla.
  • Fold in whipped topping until creamy.
  • In a serving dish, layer:
  • Nilla Wafers
  • banana slices
  • pudding mixture
  • Repeat layers until everything is used.
  • Finish with extra wafers or crushed cookies on top.
  • Refrigerate at least 4 hours, but overnight is best for that old-fashioned texture.

Notes

If you want it extra old-school Southern style, make homemade cooked vanilla pudding instead of instant. The wafers soften beautifully overnight and taste even richer the next day.
