apple pie filling
or 1 1/2 quarts of homemade apple pie filling

box yellow cake mix
or 3 1/4 cups cake base mix

cinnamon

1 stick butter, cut into sections
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F
Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish
Spread apple pie filling evenly in the bottom
Sprinkle with cinnamon
Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the apples
Don’t mix—just layer it
Place cut sections of butter all over the top
Try to cover as much dry mix as you can
Bake
40–45 minutes
Top should be golden and slightly crisp
Serve
Let it sit 5–10 minutes
Scoop warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
