Apple Pie Cobbler

Ingredients
 
 

  • 2 cans apple pie filling or 1 1/2 quarts of homemade apple pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix or 3 1/4 cups cake base mix
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup 1 stick butter, cut into sections

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish
  • Spread apple pie filling evenly in the bottom
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon
  • Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the apples
  • Don’t mix—just layer it
  • Place cut sections of butter all over the top
  • Try to cover as much dry mix as you can

Bake

  • 40–45 minutes
  • Top should be golden and slightly crisp

Serve

  • Let it sit 5–10 minutes
  • Scoop warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
