Slow Cooker Pumpkin Apple Butter

Ingredients
- 5.5 lbs apples
- 1 fifteen oz can pumpkin puree
- 3 cups brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Peel and slice apples. This process is a ton easier if you have one of these handy Apple Peeler/ Corer/ Slicer gadgets. Place apple slices in a 6 or 8 quart crockpot.
- Add remaining ingredients to crock pot. Stir to blend.
- Place lid on crockpot and cook on medium 8 hours, stirring once or twice in the 8 hour period. Turn heat to low and cook an additional 4 hours.
- Turn it off and remove the lid, so it cools. After it’s sufficiently cool, blend with an immersion blender until smooth.
